SDGs 14 Life Below Water

Topic: Addition of biotic elements in the river ecosystem.

1. Investigation: Observing the fish population around the river.

I observed the river near my house, to find out the fish population in the river. After observing it, it turned out that beside the river there was a lot of garbage scattered about to be burned and a lot of the remains fell into the river and made the water in the river dirty. So it was difficult for me to observe the fish population in the river because almost no fish lived in the river.

2. Preparation: Purchase fish seeds and prepare them to adapt to river conditions.

After seeing the condition of the river like that, so I chose catfish to be released in the river. Because catfish are able to survive in dirty and murky water because catfish have an additional respiratory apparatus in the form of a labyrinth.

3. Action: Release the fish seeds in the river.

An ecosystem that is said to be balanced is when all components, both biotic and abiotic, are in the proper proportions, both in number and in their role in the environment. Here I add a biotic component in the form of catfish. I release catfish in the river near my house, with the aim that the catfish can breed in the river so that the river ecosystem becomes balanced.

4. Demonstration:
By publishing it through this blog, I hope that everyone can be aware of the balance of the ecosystem around us.
Because the balance of the ecosystem has a significant impact on the harmony and welfare of human life and other living things.

-Thank You-

The steps you take are very unique and precise. Currently the balance of the ecosystem is starting to decrease. And it is necessary to hold activities to balance the ecosystem. Good job friend.

This small activity is able to restore the ecosystem in the river. If the river ecosystem is balanced, the river will also provide benefits to the surrounding community. By looking at the activities carried out, maybe some people will be motivated to do it too
